The Job:
This is an opportunity to join a leading agricultural research and education facility dedicated to advancing sustainable and high welfare livestock production. The successful candidate will support the daily operation of a modern pig unit, maintaining high standards of animal health, welfare and performance. The role includes managing feeding, breeding, hygiene, and record keeping while contributing to both commercial and research objectives.

The Candidate:
- Experience in livestock husbandry, ideally within pig production
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
- Committed to high standards of animal welfare and biosecurity
- Willingness to learn, develop, and adopt new practices and technologies
- Practical decision-making ability and a proactive, positive approach
The Package:
- £28,778 – £31,236 per annum DOE
- Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday–Sunday inclusive)
- Participation in an out of hours rota, compensated through time off in lieu or enhanced pay (time plus one half)
- On-site accommodation may be available
