Drivers Mate – Rochester
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Hours: Guaranteed 48 hours per week (overtime paid on 6th shift only)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (contract states any 5 from 7 days)
- Flexibility required during busy periods to meet business needs
- Start times between 4:00am – 6:00am (must have your own transport)
- Shifts up to 12 hours, averaging 48 hours per week
Holiday:
- 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
- Site closed over Christmas – holiday must be reserved for this period
Requirements:
- DBS check required
- Good timekeeping and reliability essential
Areas Covered:
Kent, Sussex, London, Surrey, Hampshire, Oxford
About the Role:
Join our team as a Drivers Mate supporting the home delivery of kitchens – a physically demanding but rewarding role. Working as part of a 2-person crew, you’ll:
- Assist with the delivery and unloading of goods to customers’ rooms of choice
- Make customer calls with ETAs and record all deliveries accurately
- Ensure deliveries are completed within allocated time windows
- Scan all products on delivery
- Report any parking issues immediately to delivery support or transport office (record required to avoid liability)
- Follow training and safety protocols — all vehicles are equipped with cameras for security and monitoring
Additional Info:
- Vehicles are pre-loaded overnight — unloading only required at delivery points
