Maintenance Manager - Canary Wharf - Landmark building - up to 60k
The role will be based in a high-end residential building, leading a team of four engineers. The development includes a variety of apartment types, retail units, and shared amenity spaces for residents. The successful candidate will have previous experience leading a team and working in a high-end residential environment. Facilities are first class, with residents benefiting from access to a 24 hour concierge, state of the art gymnasium, pool and spa facilities, residents sky lounge and bar, plus meeting spaces.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm
Key Duties:
- Organise and manage all planned and reactive maintenance
- Lead a team of multi-skilled engineers (4 direct reports)
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and documentation meets required standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of plant rooms
- Oversee reactive maintenance to ensure it aligns with contractual obligations
- Manage and deliver minor improvement works
- Attend and contribute to client meetings
- Coordinate and manage external contractors
- Primarily off the tools, but able to step in when operationally required
Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:
- Fully qualified to recognised electrical or mechanical standard (HNC, HNC C&G)
- Strong Admin and IT Skills
- Previous experience of supervising and running a high end residential building.
- Knowledge of working with a budget and knowing how to manage costs.
- Previous experience of planned and reactive maintenance
- Experience of working in a building services environment
