We are completing asignificant changeto our organisational structure, as we move to three large clinical divisions across Morecambe Bayand these new roles are key to our success.


These positions offerafantastic opportunitytobe part of exciting changes at Morecambe Bay. You willbe responsible forcontinually improving the quality of services to patients, and redesigning services to meet best practice standards.


You will be a visible leader andprovidedirection to the services withinyour portfolio,workingin collaboration withclinical lead and matron/therapy leadcolleagues, as well as other directorate manager colleagues.Youwill be responsible and accountable for the overall management of theserviceswithin thedirectorate,andforalldirectorate staff.You willdevelop the strategy for thedirectorate,playing a key role inidentifyingopportunities for clinical innovation and modernisationand leading programmes of transformation. You willbe responsible forthe delivery of alldirectorateobjectivesandperformance targets,across all 4 quadrants of People, Quality, Operational Performance and Finance,ensuringthe service we offer to patients is of the highest quality,safetyand efficiency.

We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
