What We’re Looking For:
Experience in managing large waste contracts
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage budgets and prepare contracts
Experience in service development and procurement processes
The Role:
Our client is seeking a Principal Waste Contracts Officer to manage key waste contracts and support service development. This role will involve overseeing multi-million-pound contracts for waste treatment, recycling, energy from waste, and landfill. The postholder will lead procurement exercises, manage budgets, and ensure effective delivery of waste management services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage high-value waste contracts
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and local councils
Prepare contract documents and manage budgets
Lead service development and procurement exercises
Support the performance management of services and teams
Deputise for the Team Manager as required.
