What skills and experience we're looking for
We wish to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to be our new SEND Leader. We are seeking a qualified teacher to develop and enhance our work with our SEND and most vulnerable pupils. The appointment will include a minimum four days a week (0.8) being the SEN leader. There may be an opportunity to be the assistant headteacher for inclusion for a skilled and experienced candidate.
Therefore, we welcome applications from teachers with the following qualities:
• Drive and creative flair to support teachers to deliver challenging lessons for SEND learners
• High expectations of achievement, both inside and outside the classroom
• Experience of and empathy towards working with children with SEND children
• Ambition to be an excellent leader of SEND
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, teachers and agencies alike
• Experience of implementation and monitoring of intervention programmes
• A commitment to the wider life of the school and embrace opportunities for change
• Interest in joining our safeguarding team
