We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as Business Support Administrator in Student & Academic Services (S&AS). Led by the Deputy Chief Operating Officer, S&AS provides a home for professional services teams supporting key aspects of the educational experience. You can find out more about our teams and what we do here: https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/saas In this role, you will provide administrative support to a number of senior staff across the department. This will include a range of administrative tasks including; scheduling meetings, managing calendars, data entry, handling travel arrangements, booking catering, supporting events and internal communications. The ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism is essential, as well as the skills to convey information clearly (both verbally and in writing).
You will be a key point of contact for University staff and external contacts; ensuring smooth daily operations and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
We are looking for someone with experience of providing excellent customer service (but this does not need to have been gained in a university). You should also have good attention to detail, strong IT/digital skills and be able to cope with multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.
The role is based in Sheffield Students’ Union and you will be required to be on campus for 60% of your working time.
