We are currently recruiting for a Junior Business Analyst to join our Technical team in Wootton, Bedford, MK43 9EJ.

As a Junior Business Analyst you will take ownership, develop and support the business systems currently in place and to aid in the identification, planning, development and testing of the next generation of systems as required.

This is an ideal position for someone either already on a BA apprenticeship or would like to start an apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be expected to quickly understand and become competent in Copart's systems, processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse business needs and create technical/non-technical requirement documents
  • Communicate with off-shore teams to develop statements of work and design concepts
  • Identify and resolve system issues efficiently
  • Manage project plans to ensure timely delivery
  • Oversee remote developers and manage projects end-to-end
  • Lead QA and user acceptance testing processes
  • Handle deployment and early support of projects, ensuring operational needs are met
  • Create business support documentation and train relevant teams
  • Troubleshoot system issues, recommend fixes, and implement improvements
  • Assist in supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, and legal approvals
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to the ongoing business system replacement program
  • Manage self and team to meet project deadlines
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager

What We're Looking For:

Essential
  • Quick learner of Copart's systems, procedures, and new applications
  • Experience in business analysis and/or project management
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Strong relationship management (internal and external)
  • Experience in business website design and management
  • Skilled in creating statements of work and contract negotiation
Desirable
  • Degree in a relevant field
  • Trained in waterfall project management
  • Knowledge of IBM I Series (AS/400), DB2, RPG, and DB2 Query
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with SAP ECC, eCommerce, PCI compliance, XML, and web services
  • Background in automotive or auction businesses
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and app development
  • Strong internal customer service skills
