Hays Engineering is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic team comprising two Design Engineers and one Robotics Engineer. Working hours are 38.5 hours per week: Monday - Thursday: 7:00am to 4:00pm Friday: 7:00am to 2:00pm
Your new role
- Lead and mentor the engineering team to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering projects-from design and development to testing-ensuring alignment with industry standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to embed engineering solutions into broader project frameworks.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and supporting professional growth.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience in engineering management, ideally with a systems engineering focus.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience with PLM and ERP systems.
- Proven ability to build Bills of Materials (BOMs) tailored to customer specifications.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a track record of managing diverse teams and multiple concurrent projects.
