JOB DESCRIPTION

Can you make a difference to the future lives of South Ayrshire's bilingual children? The English as an Additional Language Service is a peripatetic service supporting children from Early Years to secondary. We seek to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in teaching, preferably with experience of supporting bilingual learners. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who can work collegiately with schools and Thriving Communities. You will develop learning and teaching to ensure that bilingual pupils across South Ayrshire achieve their full potential. You must be committed, passionate and a well-qualified teacher who will inspire the learning of our children and young people. The successful applicant will work across the authority, travelling between schools as required.

REQUIREMENTS

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
