Join a leading container shipping company and become an essential part of our client's dynamic and growing team!
We are on a hunt for an experienced HGV 1 driver to deliver exceptional service to customers on behalf of our client.
SHIFTS
Monday to Friday day work or tramping collecting and delivering container trailers. This is a permanent position on a contract.
PAY PACKAGE
Basic Hours - 55 hours
Basic Hourly Rate - £13.25phr
Overtime rate 1 - up to 65 hours £15.00phr
Overtime rate 2 - over 65 hours £18.00phr
Weekend work - £18.00phr
Nights out - £26.00 per night out
Daily Meal Allowance (Tax Free) - £10.00 per day
Hazadous Loads - £10.00 per load
Low Loader loads - £30.00 per load
Splitter / DrawBar Bonus - £10.00 per job
Tilts (ie Mammoet / DFDS - £20.00 per job
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
Experience – minimum of 1 year hgv 1 driving experience commercially in the UK;
Qualifications and UK Licences – Driving Licence with C+E category, CPC Qualification Card, Tachograph Card;
Safely operate HGV 1 vehicles on scheduled routes;
Intermediate understanding and speaking English;
Complete vehicle checks and report any defects;
Maintain high levels of customer service;
To have all port cards preferred;
No more than 6 points;
You would be completing a temp to perm for 12 weeks under ARC, then signing over to the company permanently.
