Job Title: Pricing Analyst
£35,000 - £49,000
Wolverhampton
Overview
We are one of the UK’s leading and fastest-growing refurbished phone companies. With rapid year-on-year growth and a clear vision, we’re on track to become a household name within the next few years.
We’re looking for a Pricing Analyst to take ownership of our product pricing strategy. This isn’t about chasing the lowest price, it’s about making intelligent, data-driven decisions that maximise sales and margins in a fast-moving market. You’ll analyse competitor behaviour, sales velocity, market supply, and product rankings to set prices that give us a competitive edge.
This role requires strong analytical ability, quick judgement, commercial awareness, and the confidence to act with urgency — as refurbished phone values depreciate differently across models.
We’re offering more than just a job, we’re offering a long-term career path. As the business grows, this role will develop into leading and managing a team of Pricing Analysts, giving you the chance to shape the future of our pricing function.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse daily competitor pricing and stock levels using in-house data scraping tools.
• Monitor sales performance (sell-through rates, product rankings, core vs. non-core models).
• Adjust pricing dynamically based on demand, competitor behaviour, and market supply conditions.
• Apply pricing strategies across product variations (e.g. storage capacities, cosmetic grades, and conditions).
• Identify opportunities to optimise profit margins while maintaining competitiveness.
• Work with internal teams to streamline and improve pricing processes, including automation and analytics.
• Produce regular reporting on pricing performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues and stakeholders, without needing to be prompted or chased.
Skills & Experience
• Good Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) or willingness to learn quickly.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and logical thinking skills.
• Ability to act with urgency and make timely decisions in a fast-changing market.
• Good commercial judgement, with the ability to balance competitiveness, sales velocity, and profitability.
• Comfortable interpreting large data sets and drawing actionable insights.
• Confident in communication — able to explain pricing decisions to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to work to daily/weekly cycles with accuracy.
• Experience with pricing, merchandising, trading, or data-driven decision making (retail, eCommerce, or related industries).
• Experience with automation tools, data analytics, or BI platforms is desirable but not essential.
Career Growth
This role is designed to grow with you. As the business expands, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage a team of Pricing Analysts, taking on more responsibility and shaping our pricing strategy at scale. We want someone who is ambitious, forward-thinking, and looking for a long-term career with real progression.
Company Perks:
• Career progression
• Free onsite parking
• Up to 33 days paid holiday
• Birthday off and paid (following year 2, no annual leave used)
• Extra day of annual leave every year from year 2
• Salary sacrifice schemes
• Private pension scheme
• Employer Pension Contributions
• Equal opportunities employer (since 1999)
• Recession Proof Industry
• Staff discounts
• Team social events and days out
