Job Title: Senior Asset Surveyor
Salary: £58,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Surveyor to join our established Asset Management team within a leading social housing provider. Operating across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the value, safety, and sustainability of our housing stock.
This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary of £58,000 and excellent benefits. You will lead on strategic asset surveys, stock condition assessments, and capital investment planning to ensure high-quality homes for our residents.
Key Responsibilities-
Carry out detailed stock condition surveys across a diverse housing portfolio.

Analyse asset performance data to inform long-term investment planning and option appraisals.

Prepare reports on property condition, lifecycle costs, and asset sustainability.

Support the development and delivery of the 5-30-year asset management strategy.

Provide technical expertise in planned works, decarbonisation, and compliance.

Ensure that all surveys are conducted in line with HHSRS, Decent Homes Standard, and other statutory requirements.

Work closely with repairs, housing management, and development teams to ensure a collaborative approach to asset management.

Mentor and support junior surveyors in the team.

Degree-qualified or professionally accredited (e.g., RICS, CIOB) in Building Surveying or a related discipline.

Proven experience in asset management or stock surveying within the social housing sector.

Strong understanding of housing standards, compliance requirements, and sustainability principles.

Excellent analytical, reporting, and IT skills (experience with asset management systems advantageous).

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and work across teams.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.
