Crynodeb
Assess, plan, and implement high quality, safe, compassionate and effective perioperative care for patients, in line with scope of practice. Ensure risk management / safety strategies, Trust policies and departmental procedures are adhered to in the delivery of patient care. Demonstrate a sound theoretical understanding and practical application of evidence-based, perioperative care standards in line with national recommendations and clinical guidance (e.g., NICE, AfPP). Ensure patient safety strategies (e.g., WHO surgical Safety / 5 steps to safer surgery) are implemented consistently and where appropriate, contribute to the development of new initiatives which support the improvement agenda. Promote dignity and respect, ensuring the patient is cared for in a way that meets their expectations and maximises patient experience.
