This dynamic and varied role is integral to the delivery of Suffolk New College’s ambitious programme of capital developments, new business training and community learning initiatives and curriculum enrichment projects.
You will one of three Projects Coordinators in the team, with a combined focus on the development and delivery of smaller projects and initiatives, completing funder claims and paperwork, liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and deliver activities, and providing the coordination function for employer engagement across college as a lynchpin of our employer-led programmes. As a team, we are collaborative, supporting each other, and sharing out tasks in an agile way to meet demand.
This particular role will have a special focus on developing and delivering new community learning and training projects, working closely with new and existing community and business contacts and internal curriculum teams, but will also be expected to carry out wider project coordination and delivery tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate will have good networking and project delivery skills, and will be keen to develop their skills in the world of project coordination. You will be confident in engaging with stakeholders and have excellent communication skills. You must also be proactive and a good team player. You will keep the learner experience at the centre of everything you do.
Suffolk New College is a multi-campus college, therefore you may be required to work at and travel between campuses. This role will be split mainly between the Suffolk Rural and Ipswich campuses, with significant work over time at Suffolk New College on the Coast in Leiston as our links with the Sizewell C project develop.
Due to the nature of this role access to personal transport is essential. If using your own vehicle, it is a requirement for your car insurance to cover business use and evidence of this will be requested by finance before any travel claims are paid.
At Suffolk New College, we promote the culture of BeSNC. Implementing BeSNC is not just a choice; it's a commitment to providing the best possible environment for our learners to thrive. It's a commitment to nurturing an inclusive and supportive community where each student, staff and community member can reach their full potential.
