Crynodeb

The Environment Agency are fully committed to having an inclusive workforce to reflect the communities we serve. We don't just talk about diversity; we seek it, embrace it, and live it, for the benefit of our staff, our communities, and our environment.

Our newly established Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is focused on creating a centralised portfolio that drives change, transformation, and continuous improvement. We’re currently looking for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the team.

The team plays a vital role in shaping and optimising the project Portfolios, ensuring strategic alignment, enhancing decision-making, and providing evidence to manage risk across change and transformation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in change and transformation, with plenty of development opportunities and strong support from your team and peers.

You will be an important part of our PMO team, analysing data from PMO colleagues and project and programme managers across our portfolio, helping to set the standards for benefits and value management and then helping to embed them.

You will help our teams to identify, value and validate their project benefits.

The team

You’ll join the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) who are part of the Transformation Team within the STA (Strategy, Transformation and Assurance) directorate.

The PfMO support change, transformation, and continuous improvement across the business.

STA foster inclusive, supportive cultures and use evidence and innovation to influence policy and delivery.

Experience/skills required

We are seeking candidates with the following set of skills and experience:

Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.

Proven experience of building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).

Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.

Clear communication skills, able to explain complex analysis simply and persuasively to non-technical audiences.

Self-motivation and adaptability, comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Experience of producing guidance, toolkits or frameworks to support colleagues.

Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and actively encourage others to consider diversity issues in their work.

You’ll have a range of development opportunities and appropriate training will be provided.
