Location: Farnham Depot
Purpose of the RoleThis role is responsible for the preparation, servicing, and repair of power products and generators at the Farnham Depot. You will ensure that all units are prepared, tested, and dispatched to the highest quality standards and in line with the required specifications. The position also involves carrying out repairs on generators returned from the field and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities-
Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on all power products and generators, ensuring work is completed to the required standards and within agreed timeframes.

Fit attachments, accessories, and kits to generators according to sales specifications.

Handle, lift, and move power products safely both inside and outside the workshop.

Maintain a clean, tidy, and presentable working area at all times.

Diagnose, investigate, and resolve technical faults on power products.

Carry out general engineering duties, including work at height and within confined spaces as required.

Service, maintain, and repair a range of power products and generators within the workshop.

Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

Accurately complete job cards, timesheets, and other required documentation within set deadlines.

Request and manage parts efficiently to minimize downtime.

Ensure all work is compliant with relevant safety standards, company procedures, and quality requirements.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers.

Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Take personal responsibility for health and safety—both your own and that of colleagues and customers—according to the Company Health & Safety Policy.
Key Skills and Qualifications-
Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with generators.

Strong knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels, and wiring diagrams.

Proven ability in mechanical and electrical fault finding.

Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Full UK driving licence.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

Competent with Microsoft Office applications.

Customer-focused with strong interpersonal and commercial awareness.

Highly efficient, adaptable, and flexible in approach to work.
