Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship - Marsh Lane Day Nursery

Shoots Training are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Marsh Lane Day Nursery at their Yeovil setting as a Level 3 Apprentice.

Established in 1995, Marsh Lane Day Nursery Ltd is set in a lovely and quiet location on Marsh Lane, we are easily accessible from either Ilchester Road or Coombe Street Lane and the nursery itself is located away from the road with a private car park for the parents to use.

The Nursery has three pleasant and secure outdoor areas, which have access to Yeovil Recreation Centre and is only a short walk to a local farm and country walks. Our meals are prepared fresh on the premises by our Cook who takes pride in meeting all children’s needs.

Our staff have a wide range of Early Years qualifications ranging from a level 2 to a level 6, we are all passionate about updating our skills regularly with various courses.

Your duties and Responsibilities will include;

  • Working towards becoming a key person
  • You will work as part of a team to provide a safe, caring, fun and stimulating environment
  • Will undertake all aspects of personal care including nappy changing and assisting at feeding times
  • You will update the children's journey using tapestry
  • You will become confident in liaising with parents and keeping them updated on their children's progress
  • Will assist with organising the daily activities

Requirements;

  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • You ideally will have GCSE Grades A*-C in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills

Hours;

  • Marsh Lane Day Nursery are open from 08.00am to 18.00pm Monday to Friday
  • Working hours will be a 40 hours per week and shift pattterns will be discussed.
