Job description
A fantastic opportunity has become available at Pixieland Nurseries. We are looking for a Nursery assistant Level 3 at our Saltash Nursery, to fit well within their friendly team and learn skills on the job whilst supporting children’s play, learning & development. This role will be supported by your team as well as an early years course to ensure you reach your qualification confidently and professionally. We are looking for a professional attitude, but with a sense of fun and excitement as this allows out children to thrive within our nursery family environment.
Duties will include:
Caring for children
Preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs
Supporting children's play and learning
Supporting children's development
Adhere to all safeguarding practices
Preparing snacks and help with their feeding and cleaning

To become an apprentice, you must:
be 16 or over
not already be in full-time education
As an apprentice you’ll:
complete a level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard
have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
learn and train for a specific job
get paid and receive holiday leave
get experience in a real job
study for at least 20% of your working hours
complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
be on a career path with lots of future potential
