Provide a high standard of individualised care to mothers and babies in line with evidence based best practice and Trust guidelines and policies. Using evidence-based practice, assess, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of family-centred care for a defined group of patients.Under direction of the midwife undertake observations on mothers and babies Use equipment to support the care of transitional care babies (for example: Blood glucose monitoring, warmer cots, NG tubes and tube feeding, saturations monitors, phototherapy units). Undertake NG Tube feeding as and when clinically indicated and directed by the midwifery and paediatric teams Please refer to attached Job description for further information.
