Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements.
Lead, support, and motivate a team of childcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and positive workplace.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that support children’s learning and development.
Maintain effective communication with parents regarding children’s progress, wellbeing, and any concerns.
Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of nursery staff.
Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning through regular inspections and maintenance.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to operate within financial means.
Stay informed on current trends in early years education, safeguarding, and childcare regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience of at least 5 years in a management role within a nursery or early years setting.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience working directly with children in a nursery, preschool, or early years environment.
Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare. Level 5 or Level 6 qualifications desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Valid driving licence preferred.
Passionate about working with children and supporting their development.
