Step into a career-defining leadership role at MFT, as we seek a highly credible medical leader to join our forward-thinking Clinical Group Senior Leadership Team. With a strong track record in governance, safety, integrating services and clinical effectiveness, you will provide senior clinical leadership for our Clinical Scientific Services Clinical Group (CSS). Critically, you will promote research, innovation and education that will make our services fit for the future, and in doing so, put your career on an exciting trajectory.

With a commitment to system and organisational excellence, you will ensure that new models of community care are clinically safe, support best practice and are sustainable for changing patterns of delivery, fostering high levels of clinical involvement, joint working focused on delivering the best outcomes for patients and people.

What is more, with a track record of leading service improvement in a community environment and working collaboratively across systems, you will maintain credibility and influence with clinical colleagues in the Clinical Group, across MFT, in Greater Manchester and nationally.

If you have the right skills, experience, values and attitude to meet the needs and demands of the role, we would love to hear from you - your next big move starts here.
• Bringing your wealth of experience as a clinical leader, you’ll make our hospitals synonymous with quality, safety, and clinical effectiveness. This includes providing advice on developing our services and making sure other leaders stay focused on innovation, patient safety and better outcomes.
• Applying excellent management and interpersonal skills, you’ll work with the Director of Workforce & OD on medical workforce planning, recruitment, productivity, and employee relations, promoting diversity, equality and creating a sense of belonging.
• You’ll be a natural role model for other medical leaders across MFT, securing confidence and credibility with our teams as well as external stakeholders and our local communities.
• You’ll guide us through challenging decisions, sometimes in the face of opposition, ensuring we act in the best interests of patient safety and patient experience.
• Using your exceptional communication and collaboration skills, you’ll help reconfigure our services to put patients at the centre of everything we do, working closely with other MFT medical leaders in the process.
• Lastly, it goes without saying, you’ll demonstrate MFT values and behaviours and strive to continuously set and maintain the highest standards for both you and your team and motivate and inspires others to achieve these.

MFT is one of the largest NHS Trusts in England with a turnover of £3.0bn & is on a different scale than most other NHS Trusts. We’re creating an exceptional integrated health & social care system for the 1 million patients who rely on our services every year.

Bringing together 10 hospitals & community services from across Manchester, Trafford & beyond, we champion collaborative working & transformation, encouraging our 30,000 workforce to pursue their most ambitious goals. We set standards that other Trusts seek to emulate so you’ll benefit from a scale of opportunity that is nothing short of extraordinary.

We’ve also created a digitally enabled organisation to improve clinical quality, patient & staff experience, operational effectiveness & driving research, and innovation through the introduction of Hive; our Electronic Patient Record system which launched in September 2022.

We’re proud to be a major academic Research Centre & Education provider, providing you with a robust infrastructure to encourage and facilitate high-quality research programmes. What’s more, we’re excited to be embarking on our Green Plan which sets out how MFT continues to play its part in making healthcare more sustainable.

At MFT, we create and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, provide equal opportunities for career development that are fair, open, and transparent, protecting your health and wellbeing and shaping the future of our organisation together.
