We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to lead a dedicated facilities management team. This is a permanent opportunity to move into a key leadership position where you will mentor a team of engineers, manage workflow, and act as the senior technical expert on-site.

Forget unpredictable shifts! This role offers a stable Monday to Friday schedule, allowing you to build a rewarding career while enjoying your evenings and weekends.

What's In It For You?

  • Excellent Salary: A competitive package between £40,000 - £42,000.

  • Great Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a fixed 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday schedule.

  • Generous Time Off: 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays).

  • Company Benefits: Access to a pool van for work, a generous company pension, and opportunities for overtime and on-call pay.

  • Career Growth: Take on Authorised Person (AP) duties and become the go-to technical guide for your team.

Your Role:

As the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the direct line management of the engineering workforce. You will allocate tasks using a CAFM system, monitor team performance to ensure KPIs are met, and provide invaluable technical support and guidance. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who excels at both their trade and mentoring others.

What We Need From You:

  • A qualified time-served Electrician or Mechanical Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or mentoring role, backed by relevant certificates.

  • For Electricians: BS7671 18th Edition is essential; City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A full UK driver's licence.

If you are a talented engineer ready to lead, mentor, and drive success, we want to hear from you.
