The Trustees at Victorious Academies Trust would like to appoint a Kitchen Assistant at Discovery Academy, Porlock Avenue, Hattersley. SK14 3LE.
To start: November 2025 Kitchen Assistant full-time salary £24,413 This is a permanent, part-time role, 10 hours per week, Term Time Only Plus Inset Days with an actual salary of £5,803 (TMBC Grade A, Points 2) The Kitchen Assistant role hours: 10 hours per week, Monday – Friday 11:30 to 13:30pm. Our Trust’s vision is to support young people to develop the aspiration, motivation and to be successful; we have high ambitions for all young people in our academies and all roles at our Academy are central to ensuring that we work to support this.
The Local Governing Board of Discovery Academy wish to appoint a kitchen assistant.
Discovery Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking catering assistant to work as part of a team within the school who provide high quality, nutritious meals to pupils and staff.
The role will include: • Providing support in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages; • Preparation of service areas and equipment in the service area for the efficient and effective delivery of meals. • Cleaning of catering areas and kitchen equipment to the required standards. Uniform will be provided.

The proposed timescale for the selection and interview process is as follows: •Applications close at 09:00 on Thursday 16th October 2025 although the Trust reserve the right to close the process early if suitable candidates are identified through our selection process. • Shortlisting will take place on Friday 17th October 2025 • Interviews will take place w/c Monday 20th October 2025 Please note we may close the advert as soon as sufficient applications have been received, so if you are interested in applying, please do so as soon as you are able.
