Learning Support Assistant 1:128 hours per week term time only Pupil in Year 1 with an Educational Health Care Plan

We are a friendly, popular and over-subscribed school graded ‘Good’ at our last Ofsted Inspection in October 2024 and ‘Excellent’ in our last SIAMs Inspection in September 2019. We joined the Southwark Diocese Board of Education Multi Academy Trust in September 2017 and work closely in a strong team. We have very close links with All Saints Parish church and the local community. Our school is in a wonderful location, close to parks and the beautiful Carshalton ponds.
We require an experienced, dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil in Year 1 on a 1:1 basis for 28 hours per week. The student has autism and speech, language and communication needs. He requires support from a consistent adult who will need to be flexible and supportive whilst also being proactive in adapting learning in order to build his independence. This role will involve establishing a nurturing relationship with the pupil in order to support him with emotional regulation, building self-esteem and confidence and developing social skills. As part of this role, you will also be required to deliver individualised programmes according to the student’s EHCP including speech and language therapy and occupational therapy.
