Our Special Needs Resource Base supports pupils with ASD and social and communication difficulties.We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Special Needs Resource Base team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support the learning, development, and well-being of pupils with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:Provide targeted support to pupils with autism spectrum disorder;Assist with implementing individualized learning activities.Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioral development within the classroom and during other school activities.Help with personal care and mobility needs where appropriate.Liaise with teaching staff, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and report concerns promptly. Person Specification:Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to follow instructions and adapt to individual pupil needs.Relevant qualifications or training in special education or learning support (desirable but not essential).Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
