Class 2 Night Driver
Location: Bury St Edmunds
Shift times: 00:00 starts (between 8-11-hour shifts)
Pay Rate: £17.14 per hour which increases to £17.66 per hour after 12 weeks
We're looking for full-time, Class 2 Night Drivers to join us at our site in Bury St Edmunds. This role is temp to perm for the ideal candidate and will involve the loading / unloading roll cages filled with customer car parts. The shifts will be Monday to Friday where you will start at midnight and typically work between 10 and 12 hours.
Due to the customers not operating at night you must be comfortable working on your own during the night and be able to follow customer specific instructions to gain access to the various sites.
What you'll do on a typical shift:
- Load your own vehicle with roll cages
- Multidrop deliveries between customer sites across East Anglia as far up as Boston and as far South as Chelmsford.
- Typically, 12-15 drops per shift.
- Operate alone unloading roll cages during the night and taking them to designated areas within client locations.
- Adhere to all customer site security and procedures
- Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
- Using a handheld scanner and completing relevant paperwork
- Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.
What you need to succeed with our client
- Must have a multidrop experience!
- HGV2 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
- Multidrop delivery experience.
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
- A can-do attitude
