Our client, a leading childcare provider in Southwark, Greater London, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-time Nursery Assistant / Early Years Qualified Practitioner to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the development and well-being of children in our client's care, while working alongside experienced professionals in a stimulating and nurturing environment.

As a Nursery Assistant / Early Years Qualified Practitioner, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. You will work closely with the nursery team to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that encourages children to explore, discover, and grow.

Our client is committed to providing exceptional care and education to children, and as such, they offer a competitive salary of £15.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification in Early Years education, such as an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Department for Education.

Key responsibilities of the Nursery Assistant / Early Years Qualified Practitioner include:
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of a stimulating and balanced curriculum that meets the individual needs and interests of children
- Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities, both indoors and outdoors
- Observing, assessing, and recording children's progress, and sharing this information with parents and colleagues
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised learning environment that complies with health and safety regulations
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and promoting a culture of open communication and collaboration
- Assisting with daily routines, such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and sleep times, ensuring that children's basic needs are met
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in Early Years education

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:
- A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Department for Education
- Experience working with children in an Early Years setting, preferably in a nursery or preschool environment
- A deep understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- A nurturing and patient approach to working with children, with a genuine passion for supporting their learning and development
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work
- A valid Enhanced DBS check and a satisfactory references
