Crynodeb

It’s a fantastic time to work for the Environment Agency as we step forward to tackle the climate emergency. Do you want to help make England a better place to live and work in?

As a member of the FCRM Improvements Portfolio team, you will be supporting the Portfolio Management office and sub portfolio’s project and programme work delivering over £150m of improvements in the next three years. You’ll play a critical role in helping us to better inform the changes we are delivering, which in turn will enable us to deliver outcomes that protect communities and businesses from the devastating impacts of flooding.

Our Improvements Portfolio is a professional portfolio, programme and project management service in the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) directorate. We drive innovation and continuous improvements across FCRM and Incident Management and play a key part in delivering our corporate and FCRM strategies and delivery plans. This covers almost all of the national business improvement in FCRM.

You will start up and inform new projects, helping assure live projects, supporting our project managers, building relationships with our Portfolio Management Office and helping improve and embed our Portfolio management and data practices. This is a great role for someone with data analytics and / or project management skills that wishes to get experience at programme / portfolio level.

This role is not eligible for Skilled visa sponsorship.

Responding to incidents is a central and important part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role (usually virtual) and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and will include full training. Alternative working arrangements and full support will be available to enable you in your incident role,
