Business Support Officer - Public Sector | Hybrid Working | £15.38 per hour
Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional looking for your next challenge in the public sector? Our reputable client, a well-established public sector organisation based in Lichfield, is seeking a Business Support Officer to join their team on a temporary basis, with the strong potential for extension.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by supporting a dynamic team with vital administrative and data management functions.
Working Hours & Location
- Full-time: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Hybrid Model: 60% on-site / 40% remote (flexibility required to meet business needs)
- Initial Training: Full-time on-site attendance will be required for the first few weeks
Pay Rate
- £15.38 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Process business cases and gather evidence to support decision-making
- Maintain and update internal data for all organisational positions
- Cross-reference data across internal systems, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Distribute official communications and correspondence
- Access and verify HR system data to provide accurate information when needed
- Liaise with internal teams to gather and validate key information
- Support budget planning processes through data input and verification
- Administer internal schemes and ensure all records are up-to-date
What We're Looking For
- A confident, self-motivated professional with excellent attention to detail
- Proven experience in administrative roles, ideally within a public sector setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across departments
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently
Compliance Requirements
- DBS Check required
- Three years of referencing will be conducted
