Lead the control that powers a greener future
As our Shift Control Manager in the Energy Control Centre (ECC), you’ll be at the heart of real-time operations, ensuring the safety, integrity and performance of Cadent’s gas distribution networks. This isn’t just about managing systems – it’s about leading people, making critical decisions, and shaping how we respond to the energy needs of 11 million customers.
You’ll manage a team of 4–8 colleagues on a rotational shift pattern (mornings and afternoons, 7 days a week – no night shifts), ensuring operational excellence and readiness to respond to any unplanned events. With a 20.8% shift allowance and standby responsibilities, this role offers both challenge and reward in equal measure.
From emergency response to commercial balancing, you’ll oversee a wide range of activities that keep our networks running safely and efficiently. You’ll also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, drive continuous improvement, and support the ECC’s strategic ambitions.
This is a unique opportunity to step into a visible and influential role, where your leadership will directly impact Cadent’s ability to deliver safe, secure and sustainable energy.
