Job Title: Work Placement Coordinator Status: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, 37 hours per week Closing Date: Midnight, 19th October 2025 Assessment Centre Date: 6th November 2025 Overview Our Work Placement team plays a vital role in ensuring students gain meaningful, career-enhancing experiences with industry partners. We work closely with employers to create opportunities that support learner development, progression, and employability, while strengthening the College’s reputation across sectors. About the Role We are seeking a proactive and organised Work Placement Coordinator to join our team. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating high-quality work placements that align with learners’ career aspirations and curriculum goals. This role involves engaging with employers, supporting students, and ensuring placements are safe, purposeful, and well-documented. Key responsibilities: • Identify and engage with employers to secure quality work placement opportunities. • Conduct health and safety checks and ensure compliance with placement standards. • Collaborate with learners and employers to set clear goals and expectations. • Monitor placement progress through regular reviews and feedback. • Support learners in maintaining accurate placement records and reflections. • Liaise with curriculum teams to ensure placements enhance learning outcomes.
The successful candidate will have: • Level 2 Health and Safety qualification or equivalent or be willing to work towards. • High level of IT Skills and experience. • Demonstrable evidence of providing an excellent level of customer service. • Ability to build relationships within the industry to forward our reputation. • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with individuals at all levels including students, colleagues and the wider industry.
