Oasis Academy New Oak currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a SEN Teaching Assistant in 'The Orchard', our Autistic Resource Base. Job overview You’ll have an enthusiasm for supporting learners with differentiated needs, providing learning support with a positive and inclusive outlook, and managing sometimes complex behaviours within a structured learning environment to ensure differently-abled learners can reach their full potential. Requirements NVQ/VRQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent. Maths and English GCSE grade A* - C / 9-4 or Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 on the NQF or equivalent. Passion and commitment for supporting learners with specific needs. An empathetic, patient and tolerant demeanour. Key organisation and communication skills. Experience with managing complex behaviours and helping SEN learners to achieve. We pride ourselves on being an employer of choice where all staff can thrive. 39 Weeks per Year.
