Warehouse Operation Manager (Days )
Location: Stoke on Trent
Hours: 8am to 6pm (flex on start time) 42.5hours per week
Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)
Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their busy warehouse in Stoke. This role is responsible for leading the warehouse team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods
• Manage inventory accuracy through regular checks and stock control measures
• Optimise warehouse space, layouts, and workflows to maximise efficiency
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment, coordinating with transport teams
• Uphold quality control procedures for both inbound and outbound goods
• Lead, coach, and motivate warehouse staff, ensuring high performance
• Implement and enforce health & safety procedures across the warehouse
• Identify and deliver process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings
• Maintain warehouse equipment, ensuring safe and effective operation
• Build and manage supplier/vendor relationships to resolve delivery or stock issues
• Produce operational reports on performance, inventory, and fulfilment
• Manage budgets, costs, and resources effectively to meet financial targets
Required Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience managing a warehouse or logistics operation
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate large teams
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning
• Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills
• Confident decision-making, problem-solving, and influencing abilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Attention to detail with a focus on continuous improvement
• Customer-focused and committed to delivering high service standards
