Crynodeb
The post holder will: Service Delivery Deliver and support a Trust-wide Data Warehouse for clinical and non-clinical systems. Adhere to IT change management processes and provide technical support to the Information Department. Database & Data Management Provision and maintain SQL databases on premise and in Azure. Undertake SQL upgrades, database tuning, log file management and incident response. Develop and monitor data extraction, data staging and load routines Implement and maintain data validation processes, data retention and archiving strategies. Security & Governance Configure and support authentication arrangements, group permissions and system access audit. Ensure patching, security reviews, threat reduction and secure data destruction in line with Trust policies. Planning, Technology & Documentation Keep up to date with developments in data warehouse technologies, Microsoft Azure and SQL Server, applying best practice to continuously improve services. Undertake capacity planning, proactive storage management and cost optimisation for cloud services. Lead on Trust-wide policies and procedures for data warehouse and database management systems. Produce and maintain documentation including technical specifications, system diagrams, SQL code and standard operating procedures. Leadership & Development Manage and develop a small team, motivating staff, allocating work, and supporting appraisals. Act as a role model and provide technical advice to colleagues.
