Are you caring, fun and enthusiastic about working with children?
Join our client’s childcare team in Stockport as a Playworker, supporting children before and after school and during the holidays in a safe, supportive and engaging environment.
Hours of work are:
• During term-time: up to 20 hours per week (before & after school sessions)
• During school holidays: up to 40 hours per week (full days available)
• Flexibility is important – staff cover shifts between 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, weekdays
Are you the right person for the job?
• Experience working with children (school, nursery, play scheme or similar)
• Reliable, caring, and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic
• A positive team player with a genuine passion for working with children
• Desirable (but not essential): Level 2/3 childcare or playwork qualification, transferable DBS, driver with own transport
What will your role look like?
• Welcoming and supervising children, ensuring a safe and fun environment
• Leading play activities such as arts & crafts, sports, games, and free play
• Preparing and serving healthy snacks, keeping the space clean and tidy
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
