Carbon60 are currently looking for a Electrical Engineer to join a client of ours based in Portsmouth. Our client is pronoun for the aviation, space, and defence sectors. This position is a contract role lasting a minimum of 6 months.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
* Producing specifications from product or architecture requirements
* Defining interfaces of the electrical systems
* Creating system diagrams and/or circuit diagrams
* Considering and designing to electrical safety guidelines
* Performing detailed design in CAD/CAM implementation on component/equipment/mechanical level in accordance with engineering design rules
* Defining test strategy and validating design
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Demonstrated ability to master the area of electronics and electromagnetic, including requirements capture and validation, design, simulation, integration, verification, certification, and support activities
* Knowledge of test and measurement techniques, as well as the latest electrical or electronic design methods and tools
* Ability to provide detailed data and information about system elements to enable implementation consistent with architectural entities
* Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed design solution toward baseline of validated requirements
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with various disciplines throughout the product lifecycle
* Educated to at least Degree Level or equivalent in a recognised engineering discipline, preferably with Chartered Engineer status and membership in the IET or other equivalent body
