EXPERIENCED RESIDENTIAL KEY WORKERS AND TEAM LEADERS
As MGCT continues to expand, we are keen to engage individuals who are committed to developing a career in social care. We seek highly skilled and motivated Residential Key Workers and Team Leaders to join our new Residential Children’s Homes.

We specialise in providing Residential Children's Homes for children and young people aged 8-17 years with complex lives and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD). We aim to support children and young people as they transition into adulthood and independent living.

Our Residential Key Workers and Team Leaders play a critical role in providing day-to-day care and support to our children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment. Their responsibilities are centred around the well-being, development, and safety of the children in our care.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £13.00-£15.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: Corringham, Essex
Expected hours: 37.5 per week full time, 24 per week part time
Schedule: Monday-Sunday, Weekends, 8-hour shift,12-hour shift, Day shift, Night shift
Expected start date: December 2025/January 2026 (Subject to satisfactory references and completion of safer recruitment checks)

About you:

Essential Requirements:
• Eligibility to work in the UK (we do not offer visa sponsorship)
• Enhanced DBS check registered on the .GOV Update Service
• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
• Have or be willing to work towards (after successful probationary period) Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in working in a child/young person setting
• Experience and knowledge of dealing with safeguarding issues and procedures
• Knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015
• Knowledge of OFSTED’s current Social Care Common Inspection Framework
• Experienced in managing challenging behaviours
• Experience of assessments & support planning
• Good knowledge and use of IT applications
• Able to work the listed shift schedule

STAGE ONE

STAGE TWO
You will be invited to attend an interview where you will sit a scenario-based test, an IT test and a panel interview. All interviews will be held in person at MGCT’s head Office in South-West London or in Corringham. It will be for approximately 2 Hours.

STAGE THREE
If you have been successful, you will be sent an offer letter and a recruitment pack to complete. On successful completion of satisfactory references, safer recruitment checks and your new MGCT DBS certificate a start date will be confirmed.
