Strategic HR Business Partner needed in Swindon Paying £55.05 per hr ref 14490

Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Strategic HR Business Partner to join our HR & OD Service. This pivotal role contributes to the strategic management of the client as an extended member of the Senior Management Team, supporting an allocated Directorate or Service. You will ensure that people-related considerations are embedded in the design and delivery of services, driving transformation and organisational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Strategic Alignment: Partner with senior leaders to develop and embed HR strategies that support long-term goals, enhance performance, and ensure financial sustainability.
    • Organisational Design & Change: Lead restructuring, workforce planning, and transformation initiatives to promote agility and scalability.
    • Talent & Development: Collaborate on succession planning, leadership development, and talent acquisition to build a strong internal pipeline.
    • Culture & Engagement: Champion programmes such as At Our Best to foster inclusion, high performance, and a values-driven culture.
    • Performance & Capability: Drive performance management and support capability building across teams.
    • Data-Driven Insights: Commission and interpret HR analytics to inform decisions and identify proactive solutions.
    • Employee Relations & Risk: Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
    • HR Centres of Excellence: Commission innovative interventions from HR & OD and Enabling Services to drive transformational change.
    • Coaching & Advisory: Provide coaching and risk-based advice to senior managers, empowering informed decision-making.
    • Policy & Practice: Assist in developing and embedding HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent application.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including trade unions.
    • Technology & Innovation: Leverage digital solutions, AI, and HR systems to deliver efficient services.
    • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion: Ensure EDI is integral to all HR activities and meets legal and mandatory standards.
    • Leadership & Representation: Be a visible and inspiring member of the HR Operations leadership team and wider senior management.
    • Succession Planning: Support talent development within the HR Operations team and contribute to succession planning.
    • Governance & Escalation: Escalate complex issues and deputise for the Head of HR Operations as required.
    • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to service effectiveness and recommend improvements to business processes.
    • Professional Development: Maintain CPD and network with HR professionals to stay abreast of best practices.
