CAD/CAM Programmer - Permanent, Days Based
Location: Halesowen
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm (39 hours)

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading precision tooling and manufacturing company in Halesowen seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established engineering team delivering bespoke solutions to demanding clients.
Key Responsibilities:
. Liaise with sales to specify the correct product or tooling solution.
. Assess customer-supplied parts for compatibility with in-house tooling capabilities.
. Design bespoke tooling tailored to customer needs.
. Develop CNC programs for milling machines.
. Develop CNC programs for wire EDM machines.
. Develop CNC programs for profile grinding machines.
. Conduct test runs on the press-brake to confirm parts conform to specifications.
. Review and refine existing drawings and processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Software / Tools You'll Be Using:
. SolidWorks (Experience needed - Essential)
. DraftSight (Experience needed - Essential)
. ONE-CNC Mill Expert
. ONE-CNC Wire EDM
. Microsoft Office Suite
Skills & Experience:
. Demonstrable experience as a CAD/CAM Programmer in a precision engineering, tooling or manufacturing environment.
. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, DraftSight, and CNC programming (milling, EDM, grinding).
. Ability to design tooling from concept and improve or revise existing tooling.
. Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
. Good communication skills to interact with sales, engineering and production teams.
