We are looking for an additional driver to join our medicines delivery team. We deliver medicines from the Royal Surrey hospital in Guildford to patients in their own home across Surrey and surrounding areas
We need someone to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week on a Bank contract basis.
The start time is set at 07:45 in the morning, and while working hours can vary, the average end time is around 3pm in the afternoon. Sometimes the day will be longer, and sometimes it is shorter.
We provide an insured hire car to use when making the deliveries.
Because of the variable hours, we have found the role is well suited to retired or otherwise ex-postal workers and traffic police, but this advert is open to anyone who is comfortable and capable driving up to 200 miles each day and can commit to the days and hours needed.
Because our patients rely on us to get their critical medicines on time, reliability each week is a really important factor to be a successful candidate.
You will need to have a UK driving licence and pass NHS standard background checks, including right-to-work, an occupational health assessment and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which we will pay for.
To apply, please email your CV to james.andrews@nhs.net and cindy.vines@nhs.net.
Interviews will be held in late October or early November.
