Consultant in Public Health – Healthy Living / Health Improvement
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Consultant in Public Health to join a large and successful team. Working closely with the Director of Public Health, you’ll play a key role in shaping prevention strategies across the County Council and Integrated Care System, providing senior-level expertise to tackle complex public health challenges.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide strategic leadership on healthy living and health improvement, including all-age healthy weight, nutrition, smoking, vaping and behaviour change.
Lead an internal strategic review of healthy weight and nutrition.
Advise on wider programmes such as NHS Health Checks and prevention initiatives.
Work collaboratively across the system to influence long-term public health outcomes.
Key Experience & Skills:
Inclusion in GMC/GDC Specialist Register or UKPHR for Public Health Specialists.
Evidence of CPD in line with Faculty of Public Health requirements (or equivalent).
Demonstrated ability to provide expert advice on complex public health issues and strategies.
