What skills and experience we're looking for
The Windmills Junior School is looking to recruit an ambitious and skilled practitioner to join our positive, strong and dedicated teaching team from October half-term 2025.We believe in delivering learning through creative and motivational lessons that ensure all children achieve academic success and gain skills for lifelong learning.
We are looking for a teacher who:
• has the desire to ensure that every child reaches their full potential
• takes a pride in the role that they do and knows what a difference that they can make to a child’s success both emotionally and academically
• maintains high standards of learning and fosters good pupil progress – knowing that every day matters for our learners
• establishes excellent relationships with children, staff and parents and genuinely values these
• is reflective and seeks to improve their practise
• embraces active learning– with the children ‘doing’ the learning
First and foremost, we want to appoint a strong teacher who is passionate about the incredibly important role they play and someone who will complement and work well in our team. We want to recruit a teacher who is willing to learn and we are committed to supporting them through their learning journey. An interest and expertise in PE is desirable as these are core elements of our wellbeing and offer to children.
