We have two full-time roles available, working 37 hours per week, however we will also welcome applications from people who wish to work on a part-time basis.

Join our progressive and high-achieving Faculty of Health as a passionate educator, where you'll deliver innovative, high-quality teaching across a range of vocational and work-based programmes. As a key member of our team, you'll lead courses, assess learners in both classroom and workplace settings, and shape curriculum to meet evolving industry needs-from retraining to wellbeing. You'll build strong employer partnerships, support learners into higher education or employment, and drive excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment.

For one of the roles we are particularly interested in candidates who have a background in Mental health and ideally hold (or are working towards) an NHS PIN.

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties

  • High-quality, innovative teaching, learning, assessment, and internal moderation across a range of vocational and work-based learning courses.

  • Assessing upon a range of accredited programmes across Health and Social Care, as required, delivering the learning aims of students. This may be achieved through general teaching, one-to-one tutorial, classroom style workshops, observation, reviews, and the assessment of students in the College or in the workplace.

  • To course lead vocational and work-based learning programme(s) of study for learners in the Health and Social Care division, ensuring high levels of achievement and success.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the Health and Social Care industry, specifically within the Health sector.

  • Relevant medical and/or clinical occupational experience.

  • Understanding and Experience of key health and social care practices.
  • Teaching Qualification*.

*All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification or be prepared to gain this Qualification within the first three years of service, with the assistance of the College
