Level 2 Apprenticeship – Reception

Hourly rate and hours per week: £8.50 per hour / 30 hours per week
Deadline to apply: 1st November 2025
This apprenticeship is run in conjunction with our educational provider HIT training, the program lasts 10 – 12 months and involves no days at college. You will be required to meet deadlines and performance levels as set by the company and educational provider during your employment. You are also expected to enjoy your time with us, in return we will provide you with every opportunity to thrive in our industry!
We have 60 accommodation rooms at the hotel. Adaptability is key, as you will need to adjust the way you deal with customers based on the event they are holding.
What will I be doing?
As a Receptionist Apprentice, you'll be the welcoming face and voice of our organisation, providing essential administrative support and ensuring the smooth running of our front-of-house operations. This is a fantastic chance to develop excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting and assisting visitors and clients in a professional manner.
Managing incoming and outgoing calls, directing them to the appropriate person or department.
Handling mail, deliveries, and couriers.
Using booking systems for accommodation and our restaurant.
Performing general administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
Maintaining a tidy and presentable reception area.
Completing coursework, we know it’s not the fun part but it’s essential to help you gain your qualification.
What are we looking for?
Someone who is organised, detailed with a can do attitude. The role involves dealing with people in there highest and lowest moments, being personable is key! You also need to want to enjoy your time with us!
