We’re supporting a leading global technology and safety business that is expanding its UK Field Service function. They’re looking for a Field Service Engineering Manager to lead, develop, and inspire a dispersed team of engineers while driving operational excellence.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
This role is ideal for ex-military leaders with engineering/technical backgrounds who enjoy managing people and want to make a strategic impact in a growing organisation. Our client offers a collaborative culture with supportive long-serving team members. This is a real opportunity to shape the future of the field service function and grow your leadership career. As Field Service Engineering Manager, you will -
Lead and support a team of service engineers across the UK.
Distribute and oversee workloads, ensuring service levels and KPIs are met.
Be the first point of escalation for engineers and customers.
Improve processes using digital systems (ERP/CRM).
Develop and implement training and progression plans – creating subject matter experts within your team.
Build relationships with key customers, acting as both leader and ambassador.
Uphold the highest Health & Safety standards, ensuring compliance across all sites.
Work 2 days a week in Oxfordshire and travel nationally to support engineers and customer requirements.
What our client are looking for
Essential
HNC/HND in electrical or electronic engineering (or equivalent).
3+ years’ experience in field service/customer support.
Proven management of remote technical teams.
Strong understanding of workplace Health & Safety.
Flexible approach to travel and working hours.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Industrial equipment or gas detection awareness.
Background in regulated environments.
NEBOSH/IOSH qualification.
Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems.
