We are recruiting for an Rail Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, international manufacturing company in the rail industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and the chance to travel across the UK and overseas.
As an Electrical Service Engineer/Rail Maintenance Engineer, you’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge machinery, international projects, and a supportive team environment where your expertise is valued.
The Role
As an Rail Maintenance Engineer you will:
Service, repair, and modify complex machinery and on-track equipment.
Commission new or upgraded systems to the highest standards.
Deliver efficient, professional technical support both on-site and remotely.
Be part of an on-call rota, providing valuable expertise to clients.
Travel across the UK and internationally to support projects and customers.
Must have:
Experience: Minimum 3 years with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems.
Technical skills: Strong background in fault-finding, repairs, and commissioning.
Qualifications: Recognised apprenticeship (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent desirable).
Driving licence: Full, clean manual UK licence.
Personal qualities: Flexible, proactive, and a strong communicator.
(Experience with rail sector systems is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.)
