The Job’s Mission:
The Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting their Store Manager in keeping track of inventory, follow all company standards, procedures and policies. To ensure that customers receive a high quality of service. To be successful as a retail assistant, you must be able to multitask and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Activities:
• Greet customers and create a welcoming store environment.
• Assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and process returns/exchanges.
• Deal with customers queries/complaints professionally.
• Recommend and display items that match customer needs.
• Replenish stock on shelves and ensure products are neatly displayed.
• Assist with stock deliveries, inventory counts, and stocktaking as needed.
• Stay informed about product features, promotions, and policies.
• Accurately describe product features and benefits
• Follow all companies’ policies and procedures.
• Supporting the Store Manager in reporting required by the business
• Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
• Support other team members and contribute to a positive working environment.
