Your role is key to supporting independence, wellbeing, and community inclusion—making every journey truly worthwhile.
About the Role
As a Driver Support Worker, you will:
Hold a valid UK Driving Licence with Category D1 entitlement (typically present on licences issued before 1997 or obtained via an additional driving test).
Ensure vehicles are roadworthy by conducting daily and weekly checks.
Support individuals with and without mobility equipment in and out of vehicles, using tail-lifts and ramps where necessary.
Assist with personal care tasks, including bathroom support, mobility aids, and dietary needs (training provided).
Participate in activities with the people we support, both on and off site.
Perform manual handling tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Driver only roles will focus on transport and vehicle safety responsibilities without the additional care duties.
About the Teams
We have vacancies in the following locations:
Split shifts are 2.5 hours in the morning, and 2.5 hours in afternoon, 25 hours per week.
Driver Support Workers
Stevenage - Stevenage Resource Centre - 25 hours per week, split shift
Driver Only
Hertford - Ware Road Day Service - 25 hours per week, split shift
About you
Essential:
A valid UK Driving Licence with Category D1 entitlement (please check before applying).
Previous experience driving larger vehicles and working as part of a team.

Physically able to meet the demands of the role.
