About the RoleA well-established Alternative Provision / PRU setting in Willenhall is seeking 3 Primary and 3 Secondary Teaching Assistants & Behaviour Mentors to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment that helps children and young people overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored academic and emotional support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist in delivering structured learning activities under teacher guidance
- Support behaviour management strategies and promote a calm, respectful environment
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Collaborate with families and external agencies to support pupil progress
✅ Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working with children or young people in SEN, PRU, SEMH, or pastoral roles
- Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA Level 2/3, youth work, mentoring) are desirable but not essential
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable learners
